Indiana Fever star and 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year, Caitlin Clark, will miss the WNBA All-Star game on Saturday. The Indiana Fever player was forced off the court in the last minute of the Tuesday night victory against the Connecticut Sun due to an injury.
Shortly after passing an easy assist to teammate Kelsey Mitchell, Clark was limping while grabbing the inside of her right leg. Subsequently, she walked off the court and banged her head against the cushioned back of a basket in frustration.

While sitting on the bench later, Clark covered her face with a towel while she held back tears, possibly because she already knew this could impact her participation in the WNBA All-Star game. The Fever won the encounter 85-77, with Clark recording 14 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists.
“(Caitlin Clark) Just felt a little something in her groin… We’ll get it evaluated and see what happens from there,” Indiana Fever coach Stephanie White said shortly after the game.
The game against the Connecticut Sun was just the fourth appearance by Caitlin Clark after a five-game absence due to a groin injury. The same injury that seems to be recurring now. Clark missed the Fever’s next game on Wednesday, a 77-98 defeat to the New York Liberty at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Adding insult to injury, the All-Star game will be played in front of her home crowd at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, the home of the Indiana Fever. Not only that, but she was supposed to be the captain of one of the two teams, as the game has been marketed as “Team Collier vs. Team Clark”.
