Chicago Sky star Angel Reese is set to be a Victoria’s Secret Angel in this year’s edition of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show later this month. The event returned due to popular demand after a five-year hiatus, following initial criticisms about the show’s nature.
Reese announced the news through a post on her Instagram feed, which showed her in black lingerie and wearing the wings of a Victoria’s Secret Angel. In the caption of the post, Angel Reese wrote:
“Stepping into a dream: From Angel to a Victoria Secret ANGEL. I’m finally getting my wings I’ll be walking the Victoria’s Secret 2025 runway show for the first time, and it feels like destiny. Reese will be the first pro athlete to make an appearance on the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. She is coming off a second successful season in the WNBA, making the All-Star team and being the league’s lead rebounder for the second year in a row. She was also named the WNBA Peak Performer for the second straight season.
One of the top reactions on her post came from the brand itself, which wrote the following in the comments section:

Angel Reese On How She Felt About Being Named A Victoria’s Secret Angel
Shortly after being told she would appear in this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, Angel Reese spoke with People magazine. In the interview, she opened up about her feelings on the matter and her opinion on what the show means.
“I literally could not stop smiling!” Reese told People magazine about when she received the news. “It’s such a surreal and full-circle moment. Just last year, I was in the audience, manifesting being on that runway, completely inspired and in awe of all the powerful women walking down the runway, and now I get to return as an Angel. This will be an unforgettable night that I’ll forever be grateful for.”
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is scheduled for October 15 in New York City.
