The Labubu boom has continued, and a lot of women’s basketball stars have found themselves also wanting these adorable monster plushies. This includes UConn star Azzi Fudd, one of the most fashionable athletes in any sport, and she received a couple of them from her fans.
Specifically, the Labubus and keychains gifted to her were custom ones that were themed around her and her girlfriend, former UConn star and Dallas Stars guard Paige Bueckers. She showed them off to social media:
“I got these keychains, I think this is me,” she said. “This is me in the winter, clearly. Very cute.”
However, she did not acknowledge the blonde key chain and moved on to the next gift, only to realize that the other keychain was supposed to be her girlfriend’s. She then realized that the Labubu she unboxed was supposed to be for Paige, so she just apologized to her on camera nonchalantly.
“Paige, I think I just unboxed your Labubu, sorry,” Azzi Fudd said.

It is unclear when Azzi Fudd and Paige Bueckers started dating, exactly, but there were rumors already floating around during their time together at UConn. However, with Bueckers now out of UConn, Fudd revealed in June that they were dating, with a phone case that said “Paige Bueckers’ Girlfriend.”
The two have proven to be an effective duo, winning the national title last April, handing Geno Auriemma a record 12 national championship wins. With Bueckers now a senior, she left UConn and was picked No. 1 overall in the NBA draft by the Dallas Wings, while Fudd chose to stay at the school as she was still eligible to play.
Paige Bueckers Reveals What Azzi Fudd Needs To Work On During Her GF’s Podcast
Meanwhile, Azzi Fudd finally launched her own podcast, titled “Close Friends Only.” As many had expected, one of the very first guests was her girlfriend, Paige Bueckers. There, the Dallas Wings All-Star guard was asked by Fudd what part of her game she needed to work on, and Bueckers bluntly revealed that Fudd needs to work on her defense. This elicited a reaction from Fudd.
“My defense is not bad,” Fudd fired back.
“Everybody’s defense could get better. Let’s be real,” Bueckers answered.
During that episode, Fudd also revealed that her favorite NBA player right now is Golden State’s Steph Curry, while Bueckers revealed that hers was Kyrie Irving, and that she would be more than happy if he were to train her to improve her ball handling.
