A couple of globally recognized athletes, Angel Reese and Suni Lee, just made history in a field other than sports. On Wednesday, Oct. 15, Team USA gymnast Lee and Chicago Sky forward Reese walked down the 2025 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway as the first-ever pair of athletes to do so.
Traditionally, Victoria’s Secret Fashion Shows are graced by supermodels and celebrities. Thus, Lee and Reese have achieved something no other active female athlete has. In a post by @brwsports on Instagram, several backstage photos of Lee and Reese were shared, as they prepared for their walk in their custom-made Victoria’s Secret robes and underwear.

However, a few fans were not too impressed.
“They couldn’t hire real supermodels?” one user commented.
“Why are they in it?” another user questioned.
“Makeup can do great things,” a user shared.
Other users in the comments section defended and praised Lee and Reese for breaking barriers for female athletes in the fashion and modelling world.
“A lot of dudes not realizing they’re single and miserable because they think giving women respect is a zero sum game. Real ones love to see Angel and Suni remind the world that female athletes can do both and then some,” one fan explained with emojis.
“@sunisalee is a bombshell for sure,” another fan said with a salute emoji.
“Angel face card something serious,” another user claimed with a heart-eyes emoji.
“Going to be such an epic experience for both of them,” a fan wrote with a trio of emojis.
Reese is coming off her second year in the WNBA in the recently concluded 2025 campaign. Coach Tyler Marsh’s Sky team finished with an overall record of 10-34 and ranked last in the Eastern Conference at sixth place. Unfortunately for her, Chicago did not make it to this year’s playoffs.
Lee, on the other hand, has been busy with several brand opportunities since winning a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics for team gymnastics.

Angel Reese went with a couple of looks at the 2025 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. In another post by @brwsports on Instagram, Reese is seen in a distressed shirt with pink lingerie, complemented by the white angel wings on her back.
In Reese’s next look, she went with pink lingerie, draped in different kinds of pink roses, and finished it off with a pink fur coat that had flowers on it.

In Suni Lee’s case, her signature look of the night appeared to be a pink crop top with a black lingerie bra underneath, navy blue shorts, and a pink jacket with matching accessories, as seen in another upload by @brwsports on Instagram.
