Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky are not going to the playoffs for the second straight year after finishing 12th in the standings with a 10-34 record. Now that it’s early offseason for her, she has already started to enjoy the downtime and was spotted soaking up the sun.
On Monday, Reese posted a set of photos where she posed poolside in a white bikini, relaxing on a yellow lounge chair. She captioned the post:

After a stellar rookie season in 2024, Reese showed that her dominance was not just a one-off. In 2025, over 30 games, Reese averaged 14.7 points, 12.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.5 steals, and 0.7 blocks per game. She averaged about 31.6 minutes per game.
She shot 45.8%, including very low from three (18.2%), and 75.6% on free throws.
Meanwhile, the Sky struggled overall despite Reese’s strong season, especially on the boards. The Sky averaged 75.8 points per game and gave up about 85.8 points per game. Injuries also affected their season since point guard Courtney Vandersloot suffered an ACL tear and was out for the season.
Angel Reese and Sky are not on good terms
Angel Reese was not happy after the Sky posted another poor season. In an interview with the Chicago Tribune, she criticized parts of the Sky organization. Reese said that while she would like to play for Chicago, if the front office doesn’t make the moves to make them a championship contender, she wants out.
“I am very vocal about what we need and what I want,” she said. “I’d like to be here for my career, but if things don’t pan out, obviously I might have to move in a different direction and do what’s best for me. But while I am here, I’m going to try to stay open-minded about what I have here and maximize that as much as I can.”
Reese wants the front office to get her and fellow former rookie Kamilla Cordoso some help.
“I’m not settling for the same s**t we did this year,” Reese added. “We have to get good players. We have to get great players. That’s a non-negotiable for me. I’m willing and wanting to play with the best. And however I can help to get the best here, that’s what I’m going to do this offseason. So it’s going to be very, very important this offseason to make sure we attract the best of the best because we can’t settle for what we have this year.”
The Sky didn’t take lightly to Reese’s dig. They suspended her for the first half of a game. Moreover, Reese didn’t play the final few games of the season due to a back injury on top of missing the exit interview, suggesting that not everything is fine between the two.
