Former LSU Tigers standout and current Chicago Sky stalwart Angel Reese is more than ready for her history-making appearance at a well-known fashion show. On Wednesday, Oct. 15, Reese is slated to become the first-ever WNBA player and professional athlete of any sport to be one of the models walking in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in New York, which is the American lingerie brand’s annual showcase of its products.
Being a part of a niche list of celebrities and models, capped off by musical performances, Reese then took it to her Instagram account to hype up this accomplishment of hers a day before it was set to occur. On Tuesday, Oct. 14, Reese uploaded a video to her social media, which shows her posing in her all-black two-piece bikini, with wings, in the mandatory photoshoot with Victoria’s Secret, and including a caption that calls on her followers to support her.

In the 48-second edited reel, Reese is also seen during the events that led up to her Victoria’s Secret appearance. The young forward is captured training for her runway walk with her white angel wings in a brown cycling set, the hair and makeup preparations she was doing, and even wearing the robe that the American lingerie brand gave her.
Reese is coming off her sophomore stint in the WNBA with coach Tyler Marsh’s Sky team. They finished the 2025 campaign with an overall record of 10-34, ranking last in sixth place in the Eastern Conference. Despite missing out on the playoffs, Reese was able to put up a stellar second year in the league that captured the attention of fans and spectators after her rookie season was cut short due to injury.

Along with showcasing clips of the events leading up to her first appearance at a Victoria’s Secret show, Angel Reese also shared on her Instagram stories a close-up look at her own pink lingerie from the globally-renowned brand. Reese’s robe sees pink and white stripes all over, with her name stitched in by the collarbone, and includes a matching two-piece set. The young forward also included a caption to hype up her history-making appearance.
After this appearance, Reese will presumably return to her role as one of the Sky’s focal points and will prepare for her third year in the league in the 2026 WNBA season.
