“I Might Get Hate for This”: Angel Reese’s Ex-Teammate Makes Her Feelings Clear About Chicago Sky Star

Angel Reese had a reputation during her college years that was not entirely positive. While she was widely considered one of the best athletes from her crop of recruits, her feud with superstar Caitlin Clark made her somewhat unpalatable to some fans. It isn’t surprising, as this is the kind of reputation head coach Kim Mulkey was looking to establish for her LSU Lady Tigers – a no-nonsense team that wasn’t afraid to get dirty to win.

However, this reputation might be far from reality when it comes to the Bayou Barbie. According to someone who played with her, current Arizona State guard Last-Tear Poa, Reese is nothing but a great teammate.

“I might get hate for this, but she’s the main reason why women’s basketball changed. I loved playing with Angel; I wish I could again. She taught me a lot, on and off the court. Her shoulders were heavy, but she wore that crown to the top,” Poa said.

This demonstrates that a player’s reputation on the court can be a distinctly different aspect from her actual personality.
