“You Are Not Mute”: Caitlin Clark’s Silence Put Under Blast as Mariah Rose Demands Stronger Anti-Racism Stance Over Raven Johnson Treatment

Former NBA player Jalen Rose’s daughter Mariah Rose has launched a fresh attack on Caitlin Clark, saying she has failed to stamp out racism among her fans.

So much has been said about Clark’s unprecedented popularity, and the discourse around her fans. But when the Indiana Fever drafted her college rival Raven Johnson as the 10th pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft, things began to flare up again.

In fact, a few weeks before the draft, Johnson admitted she almost quit the sport because of Caitlin Clark’s infamous wave-off in the 2023 Final Four, and the heavy online backlash that followed, including bullying and racially charged comments about her game and appearance.

Mariah Rose, a well-known critic of Caitlin Clark and the Fever, took issue with her silence on the situation, saying it is her “responsibility to make an anti-racist statement.”

The content creator posted a minute-long video on Saturday on her Hoops for Hotties page.

“I am calling out Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever. I would like y’all to tag them, send this to them, whatever, I don’t care. My girl Raven Johnson. They drafted her to the Barstool Barbies. Raven Johnson played for South Carolina. Very talented. She was the player that Caitlin Clark waved off at the three-point line. Like, I’m not even gonna guard you. I don’t give a f**k about you. What I have a problem with is what came after. And that’s Raven wanting to quit basketball because of the hate she received from Caitlin Clark fans. Call her a monkey and this, that, and all the other third. It is your responsibility to make an anti-racist statement.”

Rose went on to claim Clark’s fans were “being racist on her behalf” and urged her to keep condemning racism and bigotry in any form.

“It’s honestly starting to piss me the f**k off. Directly address it. And guess what? I used to always have people tell me, well, Caitlin’s addressed it before. Caitlin’s not racist. It’s not. Keep addressing it. Make it very clear where you stand. I’m sorry, is it inconvenient for you to have to say, sorry, I don’t condone racism more than one f***ing time? You know what the f**k is going on with your fans… If it bothers you that people are being racist on your behalf, say something. You are not mute. You know how to use that f***ng phone. Take a little video. Do a little notes app post. Screenshot it and post it. I am against racism. I don’t stand for that s**t. I don’t stand for hate against any person. And if you are a racist person, you are no fan of mine. It is that simple.”

While it is true that Clark has addressed the issue before, calling “any sort of racism and hateful comments” upsetting and saying, “Those aren’t fans, those are trolls,” however, Rose feels Clark needs to keep making such statements.
