Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark remains a staple in her team’s social media engagements in the offseason. On Thursday, the Fever shared photos of what some team members looked like in 2016. Surprisingly, Clark wasn’t in one of them.
Clark responded to the post:
“Can’t be got.”
The superstar point guard’s message drew a reaction from the Fever:
“@caitlinclark22 scrolled and found nothing.”
The back-and-forth prompted a response from Aussie teammate Chloe Bibby:
“@caitlinclark22, were you even walking by then? Or still in diapers?”
Unfazed by the trolling, Caitlin Clark kept the banter going:
“@chloe_bibby fair point.”
In 2016, Caitlin Clark had just begun her career as a first-year guard at Dowling Catholic High School. She led the team to a 19-5 record after averaging 15.3 points, 4.7 assists and 2.3 steals per game. Clark’s sizzling display won her Class 5A All-State honors.
The Indiana Fever post included Kelsey Mitchell, who was in her second year at Ohio State. Mitchell wore a shirt with “Always Reppin” printed on the front, while the school logo below the message defined her alliance.
Lexie Hull was part of the collection. In the photo used by the Fever, Hull declared her intention to play for Stanford. Indiana featured Sydney Colson, too, who played overseas in her photo.
Elizabeth Williams, Chloe Bibby, Damiris Dantas and Shey Peddy made the list as well. Peddy’s photo showed her with track icon Usain Bolt.
Caitlin Clark supports LeBron James’ latest statement on his legacy
With the WNBA on hiatus, Caitlin Clark continues to monitor the NBA. The Indiana Fever point guard saw what LeBron James posted on Instagram following the LA Lakers’ 141-116 win against the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday.
The much-maligned James wrote:
“No matter if you LOVE or HATE me, you will remember me.”
Caitlin Clark, who called LeBron James her GOAT last year, shared the post via an Instagram story on Thursday.
Clark did not say anything, but she has openly admired and supported the four-time NBA MVP. By sharing James’ post, she seems to have given a thumbs up to the LA Lakers star’s message.
