“They HATE Her”: Caitlin Clark Fans Bash Refs After Delay of Game Technical After Fever Star Unintentionally Deflects Ball Off Her Foot

Caitlin Clark has engaged in heated conversations with referees early in the 2026 WNBA season. On Saturday, she had yet another tense interaction with an official who called her for a technical foul.

Clark incurred the tech after she accidentally kicked the ball away. It appeared to be inadvertent as CC looked like she was trying to pick the ball up.

On social media, fans vented out their ire at the officials, claiming that they have an agenda against the Indiana Fever star.

“They HATE her,” one fan tweeted.

“What a dumb call by the refs!” another fan said.

“…and why not call it when it happens and not half a minute later if it was that important to call that delay of game,” another fan argued.

“This was the worst officiated game in a while. CC beat up. Technicals for stupid stuff. It’s a clown show,” one fan claimed.

“hopefully this gets rescinded because that’s ridiculous!!” one fan hoped.

“I guess the lesson is, ‘Let the refs chase it.’ Bush League call!” another fan added.

Fever beat reporter Chloe Peterson later clarified that this technical foul was changed into a “team delay of game foul.” Clark had been called for another tech earlier in the game, which means that she wasn’t officially ejected when she left the court with 22 seconds left in regulation.

Despite this brouhaha, the Fever was able to stave off the Sun to secure an 85-75 victory. Sophie Cunningham went on a personal 11-0 run to extend Indiana’s winning streak to three.

Viral Clip Shows Caitlin Clark Reacting to Stephanie White’s Coughing in Post-Game Interview

Caitlin Clark went through a roller coaster of emotions in this hard-fought victory, and even in the post-game interview, Clark remained highly expressive with her facial reactions.

As her teammate Sophie Cunningham gave comments to the media, their head coach Stephanie White had a coughing fit. This did not sit well with Clark, whose look of disgust was caught in a viral clip.

Still, Clark and White have been able to maintain a healthy dynamic on the court to help the Fever seize much-needed momentum this season.
