“I Wanna See Me in the 10 Million Dollar Car”: Sophie Cunningham Shares Her True Feelings After Spending Day at $9.33B Financial Giant Event

Old National Bank, which has a market cap of $9.33 billion according to Forbes, has been the Fever’s official banking partner since the 2025 season.

Cunningham signed a new one-year, $665,000 deal to return to Indiana in free agency this summer. She joined the team in 2025 and quickly became an integral part of Stephanie White’s rotation. She played 30 games last season, averaging 8.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists.

Her first season with the Fever was cut short as she last played for the team in August before suffering a season-ending MCL tear.

Stephanie White Wants Fever to Get Sophie Cunningham More Touches on Offense

Sophie Cunningham started in the Fever’s season opener on Friday, playing 26 minutes in the 107-104 loss against the Dallas Wings. She finished with three points, four rebounds and three assists.

Speaking after the game, coach White praised Cunningham’s performance while also stressing the need to find her more on offense.

“Yeah, I thought she was good. Sophie is solid for us. On the defensive end, rebounding, her activity level, her communication. We’ve got to find her more, though,” White said.

“She’s a knockdown three-point shooter. I thought we missed her a lot. We missed her open looks. She’s getting back to being an elite cutter, because she’s also a very good cutter. And she’s a great ball mover. So we’ve just got to get her more touches on the offensive end.”

Cunningham had limited opportunities on offense, taking only two shots in the game. While she has never been a volume scorer in her career, Cunningham’s efficiency from beyond the arc adds a reliable shooting option for Indiana. She shoots 37.3% from 3-point range for her career.

The Fever will return to action on Wednesday, taking on the Los Angeles Sparks at Crypto.com Arena.
