After years of hype and anticipation, Arch Manning is finally the Texas Longhorns’ QB1. With spring practice in full swing, he’s already dropping dimes and turning heads.
In a recent video posted by CBS Sports, Manning throws a perfect pass to a receiver, showing off his accuracy and arm.

Arch Manning is Primed to be Another NFL Great
By now, it’s no surprise that Arch Manning, the nephew of NFL greats Peyton and Eli and grandson of Archie, carries an immense amount of expectations, fueled in part by his last name.
Since he was in high school, college football fans have been dreaming of watching him lead a team. After the video posted by CBS Sports this week, fans are finally getting glimpses of him as QB1.

Still, the surname doesn’t make a difference to Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian.
“Arch works harder than anyone. He’s just a normal guy. Like I always say, if you took the name off the back of his jersey and just let him live his life, he wouldn’t have to change. He would be who he is.”
In his first season with the Longhorns, he was the third-stringer behind quarterbacks Quinn Ewers and Maalik Murphy. Last season, during his sophomore campaign, he started two games for the injured Ewers and appeared in six total.
During this stint, he completed 67.8% of his passes for 939 yards and 13 touchdowns. In just two starts, that’s pretty impressive.
Arch Manning Getting NFL Hype Before Even Starting Full College Season
During the first day of 2025’s spring practice and annual pro day, most NFL coaches were supposed to be paying close attention to Longhorn prospects like Quinn Ewers and Matthew Golden. However, one team was seen chatting with the upcoming QB1.
Los Angeles Rams GM Les Snead was caught chatting with Manning. At 6’4″, 220 pounds, he is considered a highly touted prospect and an early favorite for the top quarterback spot in the 2026 NFL Draft class.
Although 2025 will be the first full season for Arch as a starter, a question that has been raised by scouts, Manning’s talents speak for themselves.
Three-Round 2025 NFL Mock Draft: Cam Ward, Shedeur Sanders & Jaxson Dart Land with 6 Offensive Linemen in Round 1
It is now widely speculated that several NFL teams will enter the 2025 season with the ultimate goal of getting the first overall pick to select Manning as their future starting quarterback.
The Rams, who just re-signed veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford, might be one of the teams eyeing their next franchise signal-caller. This leaves the door open for Los Angeles to draft a quarterback in anticipation of Stafford’s retirement, such as Manning.
The meeting between Snead and Manning could be foreshadowing the future, assuming Manning lives up to the hype.
