The South Florida Bulls are riding high after their upset of Florida at The Swamp last week. However, they have an even bigger challenge this week, as the resurgent Miami Hurricanes are determined not to let what happened to Florida happen to them and lead to another USF upset win. Which team has the bigger odds to win?

USF vs Miami: Players to Watch
That big USF run against Florida could not have happened without quarterback Byrum Brown, who completed 23 passes on 36 attempts for 263 yards in that 18-16 upset win against Florida. He was also impressive against Boise State, completing 16 of 24 attempts for 210 yards.
Brown is also a good rushing quarterback, already having 109 rushing yards on 31 carries, leading to two touchdowns, and he is even leading his team in rushing yards.
For his passing game, wide receiver Keshaun Singleton would be the likely target, having seven receptions for 168 passing yards, leading to two touchdowns. For defense, linebacker Jhalyn Shuler leads the team in tackles with 21 and was instrumental in that win against the Gators.
As for the Hurricanes, the player to watch is Carson Beck, who has been red-hot for the Hurricanes. He already has 472 passing yards on 42 completions in 55 attempts, leading to four touchdowns.
Running back Mark Fletcher Jr. leads the team in carries (26) and rushing yards (152) and is one of Miami’s main weapons, while Malachi Toney would be another possible target, with the wide receiver leading the Hurricanes in passing yards at 162. At defense, fans should look out for DB Rueben Bain Jr., as he leads the Canes with nine tackles and averages 1.5 sacks per game.
Odds and Betting Lines for USF vs. Miami
As expected, USF will be the massive underdogs against Carson Beck and the Gators, which are considered the -17.5 (-109) favorites, with a moneyline of -806. The Hurricanes have an 89% chance of winning, according to Fox Sports.
Meanwhile, South Florida is considered a long shot to win with a +17.5 (-109) spread and a moneyline of +551. The total is 56.5 with a -110 over moneyline and a -110 under moneyline.
USF vs. Miami Prediction
Miami is the overwhelming favorite, and will probably win this game. However, the South Florida Bulls are likely not going down without a fight and would sorely test Carson Beck and the Hurricanes.
That being said, one must never count the Bulls out, as Florida had learned.
