The UCF Knights have come a long way. No longer rookies in the Big 12, the Knights are a fully-fledged Power 4 program with a robust 2025 schedule on the horizon.
What opponents are on the docket for the UCF 2025 Football Schedule?
List 2025 UCF Knights’ Opponents
Nine Big 12 opponents scheduled in conference play, and a meeting with the North Carolina Tar Heels in non-conference, pits UCF against 10 P4 programs during the 2025 regular season.
Fortunately for the Knights, they’ll have a relatively easy slate the first two games against a recently admitted Group of 5 program, Jacksonville State, and an FCS team, North Carolina A&T.

Just because they aren’t a P4 and very recently transitioned from the FCS to the FBS, doesn’t mean Jacksonville State should be taken lightly by the Knights. The Gamecocks went 9-4 in 2023 and became the first program to win a bowl game during a transition year. Jacksonville State’s matchup with UCF will be the program’s second-ever meeting against a Big 12 opponent.
UCF will then play two teams from the Tar Heel State, North Carolina A&T and North Carolina. It will be the first time the Knights have played either the Aggies or the Tar Heels.
Just as they did in 2024, the Knights will begin conference the state of Texas, but this time against the Baylor instead of TCU. The Bears beat UCF in 2023, 36-35. The Knights will then look to avenge a 2020 loss in the Boca Raton Bowl to BYU, 49-23.
UCF is on a two-game winning streak against its next opponent, Cincinnati, last beating the Bearcats in 2023, 28-26. However, the Knights will be seeking its first win over their next two against Kansas State (0-2) and Texas Tech (0-1) after losing to both in 2023.
The Knights have a three-game winning streak against Houston with a 27-13 win in 2023, and they beat Oklahoma State, 45-3, in the first-ever meeting between the programs, also in 2023. UCF will be searching for its first-ever win over Kansas and West Virginia to end the year after losing to both in 2023.
After a respectable but not great first season in the Big 12, finishing 6-7, capped with a loss in the Gasparilla Bowl, UCF is aiming for a recovery after ending a six-year streak above .500.
