“Nepotism” “Stick to Bench Riding”: Fans React as $250,000,000 Worth Triple H Reveals WWE Path For Deion Sanders’ 1-Tackle Linebacker

WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg has finally retired following his world title match loss to Gunther during Saturday Night’s Main Event. Accompanying “Big Bill” to the ring on Saturday was his son, Deion Sanders’ linebacker Gage Goldberg. Many college football fans spotted Gage during his dad’s entrance and his farewell speech.

Following the match, many have been asking if Colorado’s 1-tackle linebacker will be following in his dad’s footsteps in the ring.

WWE’s Paul “Triple H” Levesque, whose net worth is estimated to be around $250,000,000 (as per Celebrity Net Worth), certainly thinks so and says that he saw a “wrestling sparkle” in his eyes following his dad’s retirement match.

The WWE wrestler-turned-executive noted that Gage Goldberg has said in the past that should the NFL not work out, maybe the WWE will.

However, not many fans agreed and believe Gage Goldberg should stick to football and not follow in his dad’s footsteps. Meanwhile, others were claiming that nepotism would be involved should Goldberg’s son get a WWE contract.

    “Nepotism,” one fan wrote.

“I don’t think anyone with a wrestling sparkle would say something like that. Stick to bench riding at whatever school your at,” another one added.

“I’ll kept it real bc I watch a lot of college football too. NFL not happening , he doesn’t start for CU and that’s no hate. I like him taking the wrestling route tbh. That would be fire,” said another person.

However, there were those who are actually excited for Gage to go the wrestling route if ever NFL might not work out for him.

“I’m pretty sure he will wrestle,” one fan tweeted.

“Needs to be called Gageberg,” one person joked.

“Future match against one of the Breakkers.,” one wrestling fan hoped, referring to the kids of Rick and Scott Steiner.

Goldberg Might Have Named Deion Sanders’ Linebacker Gage as His Successor

After his loss to Gunther in the main event of Saturday Night’s Main Event, Goldberg finally got to say goodbye in his hometown of Atlanta, saying that this was his first time ever losing in his beloved city.

In his farewell speech, he may have inadvertenly set expectations on his son possibly joining WWE in the future after his time with Deion Sanders’ team.

“It’s been one hell of a ride. There will never be another Goldberg,” Goldberg told fans. “Except for this boy right here!”

By pointing to his son as the “next” Goldberg, “Big Bill” might have just set the expectations for many. For now, Gage has been signed to WWE’s Next in Line program in addition to being part of Deion Sanders’ Colorado defensive line.
