One good game can move a player up several positions in the NFL Draft predictions and make them a star in their own right. Trinidad Chambliss is experiencing that after his stellar performance against the Georgia Bulldogs.
Throughout most of the season, when the Ole Miss Rebels would do well, the spotlight would go to Lane Kiffin for his brilliant player management and coaching. This time, with Kiffin out of the picture, Chambliss had his opportunity.
The quarterback was easily the biggest star of the Sugar Bowl. His incredible stat line, 30 of 46 for 362 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions, tells only half the story. It becomes even more impressive when you consider the team he was going against.
The Georgia Bulldogs have been one of the strongest defensive teams this season. In their last four games before the Sugar Bowl, they restricted their opponents to 10 points or less while clinching comfortable wins against teams like the Longhorns and the Crimson Tide.
So, what did Chambliss gain from his performance other than securing the Sugar Bowl win for his team? As per a report by Jared Mueller, Chambliss has now established himself as a top quarterback prospect for the NFL.
The team that will likely go for the 23-year-old is the Cleveland Browns. Earlier in Week 17, when the Browns defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, they lost their chance of potentially drafting quarterbacks like the Heisman winner Fernando Mendoza and Dante Moore.
Now, they have another great option, possibly available for them to draft. The $6.4 billion worth franchise is in dire need of stability. With Shedeur Sanders settling into his role, having Chambliss as his backup, at least for the first few years, will give them the depth most teams can only dream of.

Keith Carter is All Praise for Pete Golding
There’s no denying that Lane Kiffin’s departure had put a huge question mark on the fate of the Rebels this season. Many wrote them off, stating that the team without its leader, who built everything, wouldn’t be able to do much.
What has followed since Kiffin left has been nothing short of extraordinary. The blowout win against Tulane was an indication of what the Rebels were about to unleash in the coming weeks. Amid their success, Pete Golding is getting the highly deserved recognition.
“What he’s been able to accomplish in the last three or four weeks, with all the moving parts … has been incredible,” athletic director Keith Carter said. “He kept these guys focused, and it’s been awesome.”
Defeating Georgia with a 20-point outburst in the fourth quarter and securing a spot in the semifinals has been one of the biggest wins in the history of the program.
