Top Recruit Jordan Campbell Delivers a 6-Word Message As Matt Rhule, Huskers Eye the Nation’s No. 5 LB

We are now in the thick of the spring offseason, which means recruits are beginning to roll in, and teams are beginning to put together their teams for the upcoming college football season, which gets underway in just under four months from now. For Nebraska, they’re not slowing down on the recruiting trail.

Despite not being able to lock down any commits yet, the Nebraska recruiting team has been on a roll lately. Matt Rhule and his coaches have been working to get as many talented prospects to Lincoln as often as possible. Recently, they were able to bring in the nation’s No. 5 linebacker, Jordan Campbell.

Matt Rhule’s Huskers Set Sights on 2026 4-Star LB Jordan Campbell, Nation’s No. 5 Prospect

Rhule and the Nebraska Cornhuskers are targeting Campbell, the No. 5 linebacker nationally, for their top recruiting class. Should Nebraska be able to land Campbell, their linebacker core could be one of the top in the nation.

With the Cornhuskers having some spring games recently, Nebraska looked to use the weekend as a big recruiting tool. Despite the Spring Game not being the spectacle it once was. Nebraska brought out Campbell to visit, and to say it went well was an understatement.

Campbell posted a short six-word message about the visit. “The visit to Nebraska was awesome,” Campbell tells On3 Sports’ Steve Wilfong.

With the visit, they aimed to flip the four-star linebacker during the Husker games. According to Rivals, four-star Miami linebacker commit Campbell returned to Nebraska as the Cornhuskers tried to win him over this past weekend.

The coaching staff will try to show that their new look defense is something Campbell should see himself in, even if he’s already pledged to another school.

Campbell is the No. 15 player in the state of Florida, the No. 7 linebacker in the class, and the No. 125 player overall in the 2026 cycle, according to On3 Sports’ industry rankings.

The four-star prospect is one who has shown time and again to be a fantastic athlete. In high school, he played effectively on both sides of the ball, as a linebacker and as a wide receiver. However, he projects to be playing on defense at the next level.

This isn’t the first time that Campbell has come to see what Nebraska has to offer, and one of the things that stood out to him the first time was that the Husker coaches paid a ton of attention to him. This came despite having other highly touted prospects on campus.
