Serena Williams recently enjoyed a heartwarming family outing at Wimbledon with her husband, Alexis Ohanian, and daughters, Olympia and Adira. She offered a glimpse of them enjoying dinner together on social media just before the Grand Slam.
Williams made her long-awaited return to tennis this month after nearly four years away from the sport. The 44-year-old marked her comeback by competing in the doubles events at the HSBC Championships and the Berlin Open. Now, she is set for her return to Wimbledon, having received a wildcard entry in the doubles draw alongside her sister Venus Williams. She has also accepted a late wildcard entry into the singles event, officially marking her return to the singles competition at the All England Club.
In the singles draw, she is set to begin her campaign against Maya Joint on Tuesday, June 30. In doubles, she and her sister will take on Solana Cristea and Camila Osorio in the opening round. As anticipation builds around her return to the Grand Slam, Williams was recently spotted enjoying some quality time with her family.
Taking to her Instagram story, she posted a heartwarming video of her husband Ohanian, and her daughters enjoying dinner at Wimbledon. The clip showed the kids playing with their father, serving family goals.
She captioned the post:
“Team dinner.”

Serena Williams opened up about how her daughter, Olympia Ohanian, motivated her to team up with Venus Williams at Wimbledon
After her first-round doubles defeat at the Berlin Open alongside Karolina Muchova, Serena Williams addressed the media in the post-match press conference.
Reflecting on her comeback and her form on the court, Serena also revealed that it was her elder daughter, Olympia Ohanian, who motivated her to team up with Venus Williams for the doubles event at Wimbledon.
Believing that stepping back on the court with her sister again will be ‘fun,’ she said:
“Well, I think it’s going to be fun. My daughter Olympia told me that I should play with Venus. She’s always right. She’s like, ‘Mom you should play with Venus.’ She’s very serious, she’s very smart. She’s very wise. I said, ‘OK, Olympia, we’ll see if we can do it,'” said Serena Williams.
Along with this, she also credited her sister for inspiring her comeback, saying:
“I was really motivated by what Venus was doing at US Open, I thought she played really well. Quarterfinals in doubles, I thought was really interesting. At the time, she was always telling me I should play. I felt a lot of pressure, but I wasn’t practicing at all.”
