Bombshell Carlos Alcaraz Prediction Ending in Juan Carlos Ferrero Reunion For 2026 From Tennis Insider

Carlos Alcaraz’s recent split with long-time coach Juan Carlos Ferrero has sparked widespread speculation, with many believing the separation may prove temporary given their deep bond and shared success.

Alcaraz stunned the tennis world on Dec. 17 by announcing the breakup, despite enjoying a highly successful season that saw him clinch two majors. The timing raised eyebrows, as the duo appeared firmly on course for continued success heading into 2026.

French tennis journalist and YouTube podcast host Service Volee has publicly predicted a reunion, suggesting that Alcaraz could struggle without Ferrero’s guidance. He even predicted that a disappointing season may prompt the Spaniard to reconsider the split.

“By the end of 2026, Juan Carlos Ferrero will return as Alcaraz’s coach. After an average season, Carlos will question his future a lot, and we’ll see the return of this phenomenal duo that won 6 Grand Slams and was world number 1,” he said during a tennis podcast.

The journalist also tipped Alcaraz’s chief rival Jannik Sinner to dominate the season, claiming the Italian would win three of the four majors.

“After Sinner’s mini-Slam in 2026, that will end with him as world No. 1, Carlos Alcaraz will take over from Ferrero and reconnect with a story that should never have stopped. Because the Spanish genius won’t manage to free himself from his sports father. Agree with that?” he added.

Alcaraz began working with Ferrero seven years ago and won all six of his Grand Slam titles under the former world No. 1’s guidance. Ferrero also helped him become the youngest ATP year-end world No. 1 in history at age 19 in 2022, the same year he claimed his maiden major at the US Open.

During their partnership, Alcaraz won 24 tour-level titles, which include six majors and eight ATP Masters 1000 crowns.

Alcaraz Expresses Gratitude to Ferrero in Heartfelt Instagram Message

Despite the split, Alcaraz expressed deep gratitude toward Ferrero, crediting him for playing a pivotal role in his career and personal development.

“Thank you for making my childhood dreams a reality. We started on this road when I was just a boy and for all this time you have been with me on an incredible journey, on and off the court. I have enjoyed every step with you so much. We have reached the top, and I think that if our sporting paths have to separate it should be from there, from the place we always worked for and aspired to reach,” Alcaraz wrote in a post on Instagram.

Alcaraz also highlighted Ferrero’s influence beyond tennis, acknowledging the role he played in shaping him as a person.

“I have so many memories that it would be unfair to choose just one. You made me grow as an athlete, but more importantly as a person. The thing I value the most is that I enjoyed the process. I will never forget the journey we went on together,” Alcaraz added.
