Quinn Ewers is in! The Texas Longhorns star quarterback announced his status as arguably the top player in the early stages to sign a deal with EA Sports and present his name, image, and likeness in the highly-anticipated video game release.
Ewers’ move, though unsurprising, is yet another exciting factor surrounding the release of EA Sports College Football 25.
Quinn Ewers To Star in EA Sports College Football 25
Though he won’t be the last, Ewers is certainly among the first athletes to sign a one-of-a-kind deal with a video game provider, ending a years-long drought for college football video game fans. Ewers signed on and announced his contract status with EA Sports via a post on Instagram, stating simply, “I’m in the game.”
He wasn’t the first, but Ewers will forever go down as the first top quarterback to bring his likeness to an amateur video game, following the likes of Alabama DB Malachi Moore and Ohio State DB Denzel Burke as the first two to announce their signings.

Of course, this comes as little surprise for Ewers to be in the game. Since spurning the 2024 NFL Draft for one more season with the Longhorns, Ewers has rapidly turned himself into the face of college football this offseason.
Ewers and the ‘Horns are set to take their talents into the SEC and potentially make waves with a returning group of players that saw them make the College Football Playoffs a season ago.
Like Ewers, a handful of athletes with College Football Playoff experience were among the early players to announce their signing with EA Sports.
Michigan CB Will Johnson and Alabama QB Jalen Milroe were among the first with Ewers and joined play top-tier players such as Ohio State RB Quinshon Judkins, Missouri QB Brady Cook, and Clemson QB Cade Klubnik, to name a few.
