Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone stunned her fans with her latest hairstyle as she welcomed the New Year. McLaughlin-Levrone’s last competitive appearance was at the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan.
The 26-year-old collected two gold medals in the 400m and 4x100m relay races. After marking her prospect as a peerless competitor in the 400m hurdles, McLaughlin-Levrone dominated the flat 400m with a striking time of 47.78 secs, which also marked a new American record. She added another gold medal to her name after winning the relay race with her American teammates, who registered 3:16.61.
As the new year began, she showed a new version of herself by embracing a new hairstyle. McLaughlin-Levrone, who is usually seen in a curly hairdo, has now adopted a new hairstyle with long straight hair.

McLaughlin-Levrone further shared a video of herself flaunting her new hair with big glasses and a sweater. The American sprinter also showed off her new nails, featuring French tips and a huge diamond ring.

McLaughlin-Levrone also stepped into the new role of bridesmaid for her sister-in-law, who presented her with a crown after winning the 400m hurdles event at the 2024 Paris Games.
Sydney Mclaughlin-Levrone Reflects On Her Journey While Showing Confidence In The Upcoming Year
As the new year kicked off, Sydney Mclaughlin-Levrone reflected on her athletics journey. The sprinter was 16-year-old when she debuted at the Olympics (Rio Games). It made her the youngest U.S. track and field Olympian since 1972. Since then, she recorded six world records in the 400m hurdles event.
The 26-year-old also reflected on her 2025 season, in which she also won the 400m at the USATF Outdoor Championships by registering 48.90s. The Olympian dominated her pet event, the 400m hurdles at the Grand Slam Track event in Miami and Kingston.
“From age 16 to 26 my love for the grind has not diminished by any measure…Thank you to 2025— another season doing what I love with the people I love ❤️,” she wrote.
Mclaughlin-Levrone’s 400m hurdles event world record was listed at the Paris Games with 50.37s.
