Entering Week 17, New England Patriots rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson has been one the most productive rookie running backs this season.
Splitting backfield duties with Rhamondre Stevenson, Henderson has been able to rush for 776 yards and seven touchdowns while averaging 5.2 yards per carry. He also has 35 receptions for 221 yards and a receiving touchdown.
Henderson ranks third for all rookies in rushing yards, and is tied for the second-most rushing touchdowns.
TreVeyon Henderson Injury Update
TreVeyon Henderson left last Sunday night’s game against the Baltimore Ravens in the second quarter. as he was tackled by Ravens safety Alohi Gillman. He was evaluated with a head injury and did not return. He suffered a concussion as a result of the injury. Henderson finished the game with just three rushing yards and nine receiving yards on six total touches.

Will TreVeyon Henderson Play In Week 17?
It’s still too early to tell whether or not he will play this Sunday against the New York Jets, but TreVeyon Henderson is on the right track to play this Sunday. Henderson participated in the Patriots’ Friday team practice and was out of his red non-contact jersey. He had been limited the to day prior and didn’t participate in contact drills.

While the Patriots got Henderson back in practice in full capacity today, many players including OLB Harold Landry, WR Kayshon Boutte, WR Mack Hollins, and LB Robert Spillane were not seen at practice on Friday.
Entering Week 17, the Patriots hold a 12-3 record, which is good for second in the entire AFC. With Denver defeating Kansas City last night, the Patriots must win each of its last two regular season games with Denver losing its season finale in order to clinch the first seed with a first-round playoff bye.
