Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa once again became a target of fans as his poor performances continued in the 2025 season. In Week 15’s 28-15 blowout defeat against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the quarterback threw for 253 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.

Tua Tagovailoa’s 2025 season hasn’t went great. The quarterback has led the Dolphins to a 6-8 record. He has completed 260 of 384 passes attempted for 2,660 yards, 20 touchdowns and 15 interceptions.
What Tua Tagovailoa Said After Terrible Steelers Loss
Following the Week 15 loss against the Steelers, Tua Tagovailoa shared his honest reflection on the poor execution of the team on offense. The quarterback took responsibility for shortcomings in the passing game.
“I’m pretty disappointed in myself with how ready I got our receiving corps ready,” Tagovailoa said. “I kind of felt like I let our guys down.”
“We were messing ourselves up really,” Tagovailoa added. “Just basically every aspect from my communication to the guys, with them getting in the huddle, calling the plays, getting out, guys knowing where to go with their alignments. All of that.”
Tagovailoa got honest about the team’s struggles throughout the season, and it’s not a nice feeling. Despite that, the quarterback asks the team to get back to work and deliver a win.
“It is tough,” Tagovailoa said. “We got to play better ball if we want to win games against good teams. It’s disappointing we didn’t get the outcome we wanted to and everything that goes on with the playoffs. To start the season the way we did—we made it hard on ourselves. We just gotta come in on Wednesday and know we got to get back to work. At the end of the day, it’s about the pride you have for yourself, for the last name on your back, who you are as a husband, who you are as a father, as a son, as a teammate, all of that.”
The Dolphins next face the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 16.
