Is Tee Higgins Playing Today? What Fantasy Owners Need to Know About Bengals WR Status Ahead of Week 16

The Cincinnati Bengals and the Miami Dolphins face off today at 1:00 p.m. in Miami.

Though both teams have been officially eliminated from the playoffs, each team will look to end the season with some optimism, with both teams searching for a win today.

The Bengals, who have been plagued by injuries this season, will get one key wide receiver back for today’s game.

    Tee Higgins Injury Update

Tee Higgins has battled a few concussion injuries this season alone. He suffered his first one against the New England Patriots on Sunday, Nov. 23, as he took a hard fall to the ground and banging his head hard on the ground. He would miss the team’s Week 13 game against the Baltimore Ravens.

A few weeks later, Higgins suffered another concussion, banging his head hard against the turf against the Buffalo Bills. He remained in the game but reported concussion-like symptoms following the game and missed last week’s game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Will Tee Higgins Play In Week 16?

Yes, Tee Higgins will play today against the Miami Dolphins. He’s cleared concussion protocol and is active today against the Dolphins.

    Tee Higgins Fantasy Outlook

Tee Higgins could be in line for a big game today, facing the Miami Dolphins. Though Miami’s pass defense isn’t as bad as you’d think by the numbers (allows just 202.5 passing yards per game) Higgins is always a good start in fantasy.

He has a team-high nine receiving touchdowns despite missing some time with concussions and has had a touchdown in five of his last six games played.

Should I Start Tee Higgins or Courtland Sutton?

If you have to choose between starting Tee Higgins or Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton, go with Sutton.

Sutton is healthier than Higgins and has a better matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars pass defense, which allows a few more receptions to opposing receivers a game and about 20 more passing yards per game than the Dolphins.
