Hallie Aiono, the former girlfriend of Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua, has announced her journey into motherhood. She recently posted photos from her baby shower on social media. The shower took place in light of the continuing public paternity case involving the pro-NFL player.
In a prominent Instagram post, Aiono was seen with her baby bump in a light blue outfit, highlighting the baby’s gender. There were also quite a few festive decorations of blue, white and gold balloons that were gold stars in the background.
Aiono captioned the post as: “us two🩵”. Notably, Puka Nacua was absent from all the photographs from the baby shower.

This occasion comes in the backdrop of Nacua fighting a public legal case against Aiono. Aiono filed a paternity case against Nacua in June 2025 in a California court, evidencing that Nacua is the official father of the baby.
At the same time, Nacua continues to play an important part for the Los Angeles Rams in the 2025 NFL season. He took a heavy helmet-to-helmet hit in week 1 and his return. He has been a reliable and productive member of the team’s game plan on offense.
From a statistical perspective, Nacua is among the higher tier of targets for receivers in the league. He is a vital part of the Rams’ explosive passing game. He is still getting high production and has multiple games with over 100 receiving yards.
Ryan Clark Weighs-in on Paternity Dispute
Though Aiono has been open regarding her pregnancy, Puka Nacua has remained entirely silent regarding the matter. The star wide receiver has not commented on either the pregnancy or the litigation surrounding the birth.
Court documents indicate Aiono is seeking full physical custody. She has also requested joint legal custody regarding shared decision-making. The court filing requests that maternity costs and attorney fees be awarded as support, along with a visitation schedule for Nacua.
Puka Nacua’s girlfriend has asked a court to confirm the NFL superstar is the father of her unborn baby.

While this personal dispute has received lots of coverage from the media and sports commentators, even former NFL player Ryan Clark has weighed in on the matter on the Pivot Podcast in July.
“You had one job … to not have sex with somebody else—just for however long you had to do it. Whether you wanted to get a ring, whether you wanted to get a baby by Puka—all you had to do was wait. And you couldn’t wait”, Clark stated
He further congratulated Nacua and added that he prayed it wasn’t his baby. He hoped he wouldn’t have to deal with the decision-making that comes with realizing someone he trusted did that to him, and then put him on the front street
This public scrutiny does complicate what is a highly personal issue for both of them involved.
