Philip Rivers Net Worth: Updated 2025 Breakdown of Earnings, Contracts, and Investments

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Philip Rivers has been activated for Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks. The 44-year-old was added to Indianapolis’ practice squad after injuries to Daniel Jones, Anthony Richardson and Riley Leonard. On Sunday, he will be taking his first snaps since the 2020 season.

As such, fans want more details about his net worth.

    Philip Rivers Net Worth

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Philip Rivers has a net worth of $100 million.

    Breakdown of Earnings

Philip Rivers played 17 seasons in the NFL after being drafted fourth overall in the 2004 NFL draft. Most of his time was spent with the San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers, followed by a final season with the Indianapolis Colts in 2020. The quarterback has earned over $240 million in salary.

    NFL Contracts

After his rookie contract, he signed a six-year, $92 million extension with the Chargers in 2009 and a four-year, $84 million extension in 2015. After that, he signed another four-year, $84 million contract. For his final season with the Colts, he signed a one-year, $25 million deal.

This season with the Colts, he will earn the veteran minimum (around $17,500–$22,000 per week) rather than a standard player contract.

    Commercials & Investments

While Philip Rivers was not the most marketable figure, he did secure several endorsement deals during his NFL career. He signed deals with several brands, including AdvoCare, Bose, DirecTV, and Papa John’s.

Rivers has also invested in several properties over his career. He bought a home in Westfield, Indiana, for less than $1 million. The five-bedroom residence with 7500 square feet of living space is located in Brookside.

In 2020, Rivers put his 6,844-square-foot California home, featuring six bedrooms, on the market for $4.2 million. The residence is located in a gated community in San Diego. The quarterback purchased the home in 2009 for $3.299 million.

Since he is returning this Sunday, Rivers’ Hall of Fame eligibility will take a hit. He was earlier part of the 2026 Hall of Fame class. However, since the rules require players to be inactive for at least five years, Rivers’ next Hall of Fame eligibility will be in 2031, assuming this is his final season.
