Patrick Mahomes Gets Caught Throwing Profanities At Andy Reid Amid Raiders Showdown

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are once again putting on a show, dominating the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 8. The reigning Super Bowl champions have looked unstoppable on both ends of the field, and Mahomes is once again leading the charge.

During the third quarter of what’s destined to be a blowout, cameras caught Mahomes yelling in frustration toward head coach Andy Reid. The star quarterback was visibly animated, shouting a profanity-laced complaint after a play call he clearly disagreed with.

The moment quickly went viral as broadcast mics picked up his words in real time. The exchange came on a 4th-and-1 play around midfield when the Chiefs lined up for what looked like a short-yardage attempt.

His outburst, though seemingly heated, didn’t rattle the offense. Instead, Kansas City turned the situation into a clever setup. As the Raiders’ defense braced for a potential timeout or quarterback sneak, the Chiefs snapped the ball and converted for a first down.

“This f***ing never f***ing works,” Mahomes was heard yelling.

Mahomes vented in the moment but immediately refocused, leading another scoring drive that helped seal what has been a one-sided game from the start. At the time of the exchange, Kansas City was up 31-0 in the third quarter and cruising toward a dominant win.

Statistically, Mahomes has been nearly flawless. He’s completed 26 of 35 passes for 290 yards and three touchdowns, dissecting the Raiders’ defense with ease. The Chiefs’ offense has been balanced, with Mahomes spreading the ball across multiple targets.

The defense has smothered Las Vegas all afternoon. With another statement win well in hand, the Chiefs look every bit the powerhouse they were expected to be from the start of the season.

Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid on the Chiefs-Raiders Rivalry

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid compared the matchup to a college-style rivalry, one that carries history and pride. He described it as a special feeling to be part of a long-standing battle between two franchises with deep roots.

Mahomes echoed that sentiment, saying the game always carries extra weight no matter how either team is performing.

“It’s a true rivalry game. You don’t have a lot of those in the NFL and I’m blessed to be a part of it because it really does bring out the best in both teams,” Mahomes said, via RAIDERS.COM.

He views it as one of the few true rivalries in the NFL, one that demands intensity and brings out the best in both sides. Defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo added that the team embraces the rivalry and uses it as motivation, calling it an exciting week for everyone in the building.
