NFL Week 15 arrives with playoff implications stacking up across the league, and as expected for mid-December football, the weather is once again part of the conversation. Several games on this slate are being played in cold-weather cities, where low temperatures and wind could subtly influence how teams approach offense, especially in the passing and kicking game.
That said, not every matchup needs to worry about conditions outside. A handful of games are being played in stadiums with domes or retractable roofs, which removes weather from the equation entirely.
These games aren’t going to be impacted by weather conditions:
- Detroit Lions at Los Angeles Rams
- Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints
- Minnesota Vikings at Dallas Cowboys
For the remaining matchups, outdoor conditions could play a role to varying degrees.
Week 15 NFL Weather Report
Baltimore Ravens at Cincinnati Bengals
Cold temperatures are expected in Cincinnati. Winds will remain relatively light, and there is no major threat at this time. The temperature is expected to be around 15 degrees. Since no snow is expected, visibility and footing should not be an issue, the cold could affect ball handling and kicking consistency.
Cleveland Browns at Chicago Bears
This game has some of the harshest conditions of the week. Temperature is expected to drop around 14 degrees, making it arguably the coldest game of the week. While there’s no sign of snow during the game, the conditions are still going to be harsh.
New York Jets at Jacksonville Jaguars
Jacksonville offers one of the most comfortable outdoor environments this week. Temperatures are expected to be warm by December standards, with light winds and only a minimal chance of rain. The weather should not be a limiting factor in this matchup.
Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs
Arrowhead Stadium is set for a cold afternoon. Temperature is expected to be around 22 degrees, with some wind present. Once again, there’s no snow expected during the game, but the cold weather will have some impact.
Buffalo Bills at New England Patriots
Foxborough will see classic late-season conditions. Temperatures are expected to hover near freezing, with steady winds that could influence the passing game. There is a small chance that it might snow during the game, but the conditions won’t be pushed to the extreme.
Washington Commanders at New York Giants
Conditions at MetLife Stadium should be cold but manageable. Temperatures are expected to be between 25 and 30 degrees with light winds and a low chance of rain or snow. Considering the severe conditions some of the other games will be played in, this is fairly standard December football weather.
Las Vegas Raiders at Philadelphia Eagles
The weather is expected to have an impact on the game. Wind is going to be an issue in Philly, and the temperature is expected to be around the high 20s.
Green Bay Packers at Denver Broncos
Denver brings cold temperatures and thin air. Conditions are expected to be near freezing, with winds that could fluctuate throughout the game. Snow is not a major concern, but the cold and altitude combination could affect stamina and the kicking game.
Tennessee Titans at San Francisco 49ers
This is one of the more weather-friendly games on the slate. Temperature is expected to be mild, with little wind and no real threat of rain. Conditions are ideal for normal offensive game plans. One of the advantages that afternoon games get to enjoy sometimes.
Indianapolis Colts at Seattle Seahawks
Seattle could see wet conditions. Temperatures are expected to be in the mid-40s, with a chance of rain and moderate winds. While not extreme, a slick field could influence play calling and footing.
Miami Dolphins at Pittsburgh Steelers
The matchup will take place on Monday night and is expected to be a moderate to rough outing for the teams. With the temperature estimated to be around the low 20s and winds in single digits, it will be a chilling atmosphere, but it won’t border on extreme.
