Week 13 of the NFL is particularly a special one as the league has three special Thanksgiving games scheduled. Since its inception in 1920, the NFL has played several historic games on Thanksgiving day and this year is no exception. The Thanksgiving day broadcast has traditionally included one game hosted by the Detroit Lions since 1934 and one by the Dallas Cowboys since 1966.
This season, there are three blockbuster games lined up for Thanksgiving Day which will surely fill the holidays with the action and thrill that comes from good ol’ football. Dallas is also surging after overcoming a massive halftime deficit against the Eagles, thanks to dominant showing from George Pickens that re-established them as legitimate contenders.
The slate concludes with an AFC North rivalry featuring two teams moving in completely opposite directions. Baltimore has recovered from a terrible start to win five straight games and tie for the division lead despite Lamar Jackson seemingly playing through difficulties. The Bengals are in a much worse position at 3-8 after they rested a healthy Joe Burrow only to watch backup Joe Flacco struggle and suffer an injury in a losing effort.
