The NFL playoff picture is about to be a little clearer in Week 16. Teams like the Indianapolis Colts and the Detroit Lions are fighting for a playoff spot, and with two more weeks left after this, it’ll be an opportunity for them to make their case stronger.
On the other hand, we have teams that are already eliminated from the playoff race. Since they can’t change their fate late in the season, they can disrupt the rankings and destroy others’ dreams.
With that, the Week 16 lineup presents a lot to watch out for, and the referees will once again play a key role by making the right calls and ensuring fair competition. Here’s a complete list of NFL referee assignments for Week 16:

Puka Nacua Was Fined for Criticizing Referees
The refs have been a part of a bigger discussion from the beginning of Week 16. Following the Rams’ loss against the Seahawks, wide receiver Puka Nacua made a sarcastic remark online, thanking the officials for their “contribution.”
Before that, the Rams star had expressed his opinion on the refs during a live stream session with Adin Ross and N3on. Nacua had claimed that the refs make bad calls intentionally so they can be on TV.
“The refs are the worst,” Nacua said. “These guys are lawyers. They want to be on TV, too. You don’t think he’s texting his friends in the group chat like, ‘Yo, you guys just saw me on Sunday Night Football? That wasn’t PI, but I called it.’ I mean, these guys are normal human beings, too.”
These comments didn’t sit well with the league, and they decided to slap a $25k fine on the WR for criticizing the officials.
