Ladd McConkey’s Los Angeles Chargers are playing the Jacksonville Jaguars this Sunday afternoon. The Chargers are to be considered the favorites, with their positive record of 7-3, against the 5-4 of the Jaguars.
McConkey’s wife, Sydney McConkey, seems to be getting ready for game day by sweating it out at the gym. In one of her latest Instagram stories, Sydney McConkey can be seen at the gym working out, and she added the following caption to the image:
“Happy game day”
She also reposted an Instagram post by the Chargers, in which Ladd McConkey’s jersey can be seen in a locker room-inspired background alongside Justin Herbert’s helmet in a clear nod to the connection between the quarterback and the receiver.

McConkey is having a productive second season with the Chargers, having recorded 631 receiving yards, with four touchdown receptions in 51 total catches so far this season. He ranks as the 14th player with the most receptions and total receiving yards.

The Chargers picked Ladd McConkey in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft with the 34th overall pick. Before that, the receiver had a fruitful career at Georgia.
The McConkeys are high school sweethearts, having met in the fifth grade and having dated since 2017. They got married earlier this year.
Odds For Los Angeles Chargers vs. Jacksonville Jaguars?
The Chargers are slight favorites for this Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, with ESPN Bet making them -2.5 favorites against the spread. That means that for the oddsmakers, the game is basically a toss-up.
The ESPN game predictor is a bit more confident in the Chargers victory, giving them a 58% chance of victory. While not as a toss-up as the spread, the possibility of a Jacksonville victory remains significant.
The game will air on CBS this Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET. The venue for the game is EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville, Jaguars, giving the Jaguars the home advantage.
