Kendrick Bourne in Hot Water as Alleged Betting Winnings Leak Before Seahawks Clash

Kendrick Bourne and the San Francisco 49ers take the field one last time in this regular season against the Seattle Seahawks today. While both the NFC West teams have qualified for the playoffs, they can improve their playoff standing with a win here.

Bourne, however, has other perks attached to his performance today. He can potentially make a lot of money in bonuses depending on how he plays. But before the game even started, he received a stack of money on the sidelines.

After Bourne walked out of the tunnel, he was greeted on the sidelines. Then he was seen clicking pictures with a fan. Immediately after that, he was handed a stack of money, which he decided to put inside his helmet.

Cameras caught it, and a video of the same was posted on X by Dov Kleiman. Interestingly, those were just one-dollar bills, so the amount couldn’t have been very high. Despite that, some fans had interesting theories they put out in the comments.

“A stack of money lol that’s 100 dollars for a celebration more then likely,” a fan wrote.

“It’s like a hundred bucks.  Probably won a bet,” a fan wrote.

“That his agent . A great agent that is too , changed Kendrick’s life . S/o to disruptive sports,” a fan wrote.

“He’s gonna throw money as a celly for his incentive,” a fan wrote.

“With all that money in his helmet it might go to his head,” a fan wrote.

    “Bruh got treated like a stripper w 100 1s,” a fan wrote.

NFL players are known for their creative celebrations during games. Some fans suggested that the one-dollar bills are probably for him to throw in the air later in the game. We’ll see how that goes, considering the NFL has been rebranded by fans as the ‘No Fun League’.

Kendrick Bourne Can Make $750k Worth of Incentives

Most players have several performance-based clauses in their contracts. Depending on how they do throughout the season in terms of stats, they stand a chance to make a lot of money on top of their annual salaries.

For Bourne, that opportunity is right in front of him. He is 49 receiving yards away from reaching 600 receiving yards for the season. If he gets there in Week 18, Bourne will take home an additional $250k.

He also has 37 catches so far this season. Bourne has to secure 45 total catches to be eligible for another $500k in incentives. He has secured a $500k incentive after he breached the 500-yard mark.

Even though the stack of money in his helmet might’ve been a small amount, the wide receiver can walk away with a lot more based on his performance today.
