Keenan Allen is set to make big bucks this weekend if he manages to play in the Los Angeles Chargers’ last game of the regular season this Sunday afternoon. He needs six catches for $750,000, nine yards for $250,000, and two touchdowns for another $250,000. That’s a total of $1.25 million in bonuses.

He’s expected to play this Sunday, as he isn’t listed as having an injury issue for the game. ESPN has him as active, with no issues for today’s encounter against the Denver Broncos. There were some questions around his status because he was on the injury list during the week, but he had full participation in practice. He was only listed in the non-injury-related rest for this week’s practice.
What Happened to Keenan Allen?
Keenan Allen was included in the injury list this week as a non-injury-related mandated rest list. The Chargers have already punched their ticket to the postseason, and Jim Harbaugh is resting key players ahead of the playoffs. For example, quarterback Justin Herbert won’t start this Sunday against the Broncos.
Similarly, the wide receiver was allowed to rest during some days of the week to manage his workload in preparation for the postseason.
Will Keenan Allen Play Today?
He is expected to start against the Denver Broncos this afternoon. He has a lot to play for, as he has up to $1.25 million in bonuses, depending on how he performs against the Broncos. He needs six catches for $750,000, nine yards for $250,000, and two touchdowns for another $250,000.
Keenan Allen’s Fantasy Outlook?
Play him. If $1.25 million in incentives is not enough to make any player give his everything out on the field, nothing will. He has no injury that will limit him, and he has a productive receiver this season, with 741 receiving yards. The only problem? Justin Herbert isn’t starting today. Trey Lance is.
