“This Dude Will Never Survive the NFL”: Fans React As J.J. McCarthy Suffers Third Injury of the Season With Hairline Fractur

J.J. McCarthy has been relatively injury-free since the start of his NFL career, following his selection as the No. 10 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

The ex-Michigan quarterback had to miss his entire rookie season after suffering a knee injury during one of the NFL preseason matchups.

His second season in the league continue to have it’s ups and downs as while he showed off his skills in some of the games, he missed many of them due to injuries, first one being a high ankle sprain faced against the Falcons, second one being a concussion during the Seahawks game, followed by a hairline fracture caused during the Giants game, which will lead him to miss the Lions matchup on Christmas.

“Another year another Vikings QB down before he even gets warm. This franchise is cursed and McCarthy is starting to look like the latest victim. Glass cannon with zero luck. Bring back Darnold or just tank already.” one fan commented.

“Maybe his hand never really healed from the earlier injury this season. He is effervescent, so it makes the decision perhaps more difficult. If it was someone less magnetic, the choice might be more self evident.” another fan conspired.

“JJ McCarthy’s body is still made of a little boy, glass. Hello Jimmy Garapolo 2. The Vikings MUST get a veteran to push him next year and they need to tell him that after the 4th year he will get paid the league minimum. He’s shown nothing to be worthy of an NFL QB.” another fan wrote.

“Bust. Made of glass.” another fan shared.

“Oof, another gut punch for JJ and the Vikings. Hairline fracture in the throwing hand is brutal timing—especially after he was finally starting to find his rhythm these past few weeks. Feel bad for the kid; injuries have been relentless this season (ankle, concussion, now this). Hoping it’s a quick heal and doesn’t linger into the offseason. Get well soon, JJ..” said another fan sent their wishes.

“The Vikings should consider drafting a quarterback in the next draft. They can’t spend another season relying on JJ to stay healthy.” another fan adviced.

Colin Cowherd Shares Blunt Assessment on J.J. McCarthy

Colin Cowherd shared his honest opinion on the Vikings quarterback on the November 3 episode of “The Herd,” and said that McCarthy is like the UPS driver, you don’t know who he is, but he ends up delivering on time.

“He’s like the UPS driver,” Cowherd said about McCarthy. “I don’t know who he is, but they always deliver on time. He was good on script, but it’s not a script league.”

Cowherd further said that he doesn’t know if the UPS driver a.k.a McCarthy is any good, but added that he seems like a nice guy.
