Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels was a rookie sensation last year. He led his team to the NFC Championship Game, having one of the best rookie seasons by a quarterback in recent memory. However, his second season has not been nearly as good. He has struggled with inconsistent play and injuries all season. His last appearance was on Oct. 19 in a 44-22 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
Jayden Daniels Injury Update
Jayden Daniels suffered a low-grade hamstring injury in Week 7. It kept him out of the team’s 28-7 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs last week. Fortunately for the Commanders, the injury does not appear to have been severe.
Will Jayden Daniels Play Week 9 vs. Seahawks?
The Washington Commanders are set to play the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night, and they will have Jayden Daniels back in the lineup. His hamstring injury will only keep him out for one game, as he will make his return on Sunday. It was confirmed by the Commanders on X on Friday.

Jayden Daniels Fantasy Outlook
Before the start of the season, Jayden Daniels was viewed as a high upside fantasy quarterback. After a stellar rookie season, there were many who believed he could take the jump into the upper echelon of NFL quarterbacks. However, that has not been the case even when he has been healthy.
However, while he has failed to take the next step in his career, he still has a lot of value as a fantasy quarterback. According to Fantasy Pros, he is the No. 8-ranked fantasy quarterback in the NFL. As a result, if you have been keeping him on your injured reserve, it is worth it to start him unless you have stacked QB depth.
Something to consider is the fact that the Commanders have a tough matchup on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. They are 5-2 and have been one of the big positive surprises in the NFL this season. While that is the case, we still think starting Daniels is a good idea, and we are high on his fantasy outlook for the rest of the season.
