Former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky made headlines last week when he stated that the Pittsburgh Steelers still hold the edge to win the AFC North division even after losing two in a row and allowing over 30 points recently on defense.
While appearing on the Pat McAfee show, Orlovsky stated the Steelers are the favorites to win the AFC North, also noting that their recent performances over the past two weeks and last night have sparked more conversations about them.
“Yeah, I still say that Pittsburgh is the favorite (to win the AFC North)”, said Orlvosky.
“Obviously, last night and the past two weeks, there are conversations about them now,” he further elaborated.
Two weeks ago, the Steelers lost a disappointing game against Cincinnati 33-31 in primetime and shortly thereafter, they suffered an even worse loss against Green Bay when they lost a two-possession lead in the second half to lose 35-25.
Additionally, their defense has allowed over 450 yards in each of the last two games, which is a very concerning sign that they may not be able to stop elite quarterbacks down the stretch.
The Steelers have lost their last two games, but they are still 4-3 and good for first place, which is enough proof for the former Lions quarterback who believes Mike Tomlin’s team will be the division champions.

This victory also marked the team’s second consecutive win after starting the season 1-5 while Lamar Jackson was sidelined.
Teammates and coaches praised Lamar Jackson’s return and the overall performance of the team, and it sure seems like the Ravens have picked up momentum after a relatively slow start to the season.
