Fans Torn on Shedeur Sanders’ Comments as he Alludes to Robbing Attempt at Home

Shedeur Sanders, the son of NFL legend and two-time Super Bowl champion Deion Sanders, has confused his fans about his current situation with a recent statement. On Sunday, Dec. 28, @923TheFan on X/Twitter uploaded a video of the Cleveland Browns starting quarterback at a press conference.

In the video, Shedeur Sanders claims that his house was recently robbed, with several belongings such as clothes and bags being stolen. There has not been any official report or any other indication of this by Sanders or his close ones. Nevertheless, it seems as though it has divided the football world despite him later admitting that he was joking.

Fans online raised concerns over Sanders receiving random gifts from the public and if the case of his house being robbed has been resolved.

“I’m afraid to see how many people actually send gifts 🤣🤣🤣,” one fan said with a trio of laughing emojis.

“They must be inspected first for your safety, you are a NFL QB Star famous person man,” another fan shared.

“Oh wow, I hope this didn’t happen after they showed his house when his dad came to visit?? 🤔 🥴,” another user questioned with a couple of emojis.

“Did the cops ever find the burglars?” a user wrote.

Other X users understood that Sanders was just joking and that his house was not actually robbed.

“Y’all need to calm down and know when someone is joking lmao 😂,” one fan posted with a laughing emoji.

“He’s got enough money to buy his own stuff back. C’mon now, so many people struggling, and he asks for stuff? Be better, Shedeur,” another fan explained.

“It’s a joke people relax,” a user claimed.

Sanders is in his first year in the league with coach Kevin Stefanski’s Browns in the 2025 NFL season. He spent four years playing football in college, the first two being with the Jackson State Tigers and the last two with the Colorado Buffaloes. In both instances, Sanders was under the tutelage of his father, Deion, who is the head coach for the Buffaloes to this day.
