Many fans and analysts believe that the best thing that could happen to Shedeur Sanders is if the Cleveland Browns decide to trade him. This could be especially true after coach Kevin Stefanski revealed that the ex-Colorado star is still not getting any first team reps despite being the backup QB.
During a recent livestream, Shedeur Sanders told fans that even though the Browns have a bye week this Sunday, he will not be traveling to Boulder, Colorado, to attend the program’s homecoming event.
He said that he won’t be going to Colorado because he wants to get “Big ready,” which sparked a few reactions from fans:
“Big apple…..aka New York. Who happens to be who we have after the bye week. Just connecting some dots as to what he could be implying. Or he’s trolling everyone.” one fan commented.
“And now we’ll have an entire three weeks of Cleveland and national sports media breaking out their crystal balls and decoding and arguing about what Shedeur meant by “big ready.” Meanwhile, in Reality Land, nothing will change. It will just be another 3 weeks of Kevin’s dreary, depressing offense.” another fan expressed frustration.
“It’s not hard to understand. Big ready. NFL is Big time. Big-time ready shortened to Big ready. I’m late 50’s, and I don’t know all slang by any means. However, this is standard adjustment to language.” another fan added.
“He’s not attending because he knows we’d kidnap him & find a legal way to let him come back as he still has eligibility. You all use him for clicks. CU alum have watched his greatness & we don’t have that in a QB now.” another fan joked.
“Hopefully it means he’s starting. And hopefully leadership is being addressed.” another fan expressed optimism.
“Clowns” another fan added.
Stephen A. Smith Asks Denzel Ward the Team’s Sentiment Amid Dillon Gabriel-Shedeur Sanders situation
Browns quarterback Dillon Gabriel was under fire this week as he struggled against the New England Patriots in Week 8.
Fans were further agonized when Kevin Stefanski shared that despite the disappointing loss, the franchise will stick with Gabriel, leaving fans confused about why they are not giving Shedeur Sanders a chance.
During a conversation with Stephen A. Smith on Tuesday, Browns CB Denzel Ward shared that the team is focusing on the guys taking accountability for their own plays on the field, and making sure players know that they have to play better:
“Yeah. I think the biggest thing we all got to take accountability for our own play on the field. So, I mean, if guys aren’t playing well, like we got to call that out uh in these meetings.
“And we’ve been doing that, calling guys out and and I mean, we got to go play better. Guys got to play better and step up, uh, including myself. And, uh, we just got to find a way to get the job done”
