Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs were off to a horrible start in their game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday afternoon.
In just his second offensive play of the day, Mahomes threw a pass from their own 4-yard line. Colts’ Laiatu Latu intercepted the pass, giving his team huge momentum early in the game. The turnover quickly led to a Colts score, putting Kansas City in an early 7-0 hole.

Fans mocked the quarterback for his terrible play this game and the season overall.
“Not even the refs can help em anymore,” one fan wrote.
“Never call Patrick Mahomes the greatest quarterback ever again. Wtf was that?” another questioned.
“Everyone point and laugh at Patrick Mahomes! Downfall lookin lit so far,” one fan said.
“Chiefs not looking good this year,” one fan commented.
“Mahomes is overrated as shit lmao,” another reacted.
“Chiefs offense looks confused and we’re barely 90 seconds in,” another added.
Patrick Mahomes Gets Honest About Chiefs Situation Before Colts Showdown
After dominating the AFC for a decade, it appears the Chiefs dynasty is facing downfall. They are 5-5 entering this game and they need to start winning games or face the axe from the playoffs.
The Chiefs’ playoff percentage will come down to below 35% if they lose against the Colts. Knowing the magnitude of the situation, Mahomes emphasised the urgency of the game. He said:
“Just like if you were going to a big divisional game or a playoff game or whatever it is, you just have to know what’s at stake. You try to prepare yourself throughout the week and do the little extra stuff so that your mind can be settled on gameday and then you can go out there and just play, knowing that you need to go out there and win the football game and knowing we’re going – we’re playing against a really good football team that’s playing great football right now. It’s a great opportunity at the end of the day.
“Obviously, we’re 5-5, not where we want to be at, but we get to write the rest of this season’s story, and it starts this week with the Colts at (GEHA Field at) Arrowhead (Stadium), and I’m excited for us to go out there and do it.”
It remains to be seen if the Chiefs get on a winning run in the latter half of the tournament to proceed to the playoffs.
