In what has been a roller coaster ride equivalent of a rookie season, Shedeur Sanders has never felt the lack of love and support. Apart from the fans who stand by the Sanders, it’s his family that truly provides him the support he needs on his NFL journey.
His brother, Deion Sanders Jr., has always been there to cheer him on. Sanders Jr. works around the league through his media company, so his presence also has an element of business and work. However, standing by the 23-year-old quarterback is his priority.
Sanders Jr. has reached Soldier Field, hours before the Chicago Bears vs Cleveland Browns matchup. He posted a video on his Instagram story, strolling on the field while the players got ready for the game.
He noticed that the atmosphere in the Bears’ stadium isn’t ideal, not only for the game but also for people who are there as spectators.
“It’s hard to breathe now,” Sanders Jr. can be heard saying in his video as the strong winds interrupt his voice.
The conditions aren’t surprising. As per the initial reports, the Bears-Browns game has the harshest weather conditions throughout the Week 15 lineup in the league. The city is truly living up to the ‘Windy City’ moniker.
The temperature is expected to go as low as 11 degrees during the game, with strong winds making matters worse. While there isn’t going to be any snow, the weather conditions are still very difficult at Soldier Field.
If Sanders Jr. is struggling to breathe before the game, it’ll be interesting to see how athletes react to the harsh weather.
Seth Walder’s Prediction for Shedeur Sanders Game
In the three games that Sanders has played as a starter, he has had two brilliant performances. He went 11 of 20 for 209 yards against the Raiders and 23 of 42 for 364 yards against the Titans last week.
However, ESPN’s Seth Walder believes that Sanders is about to have a terrible outing in Chicago and that the weather will play a huge role in it.
“Sanders will turn the ball over at least three times,” Walder said. “The Bears’ defense is forcing turnovers on 19% of opponents’ drives, which is the best in the NFL by a mile, and Sanders has the worst QBR (19.9) among all QBs with at least 100 pass attempts.”
So far this season, Sanders has thrown three interceptions. Walder believes that the quarterback is going to double that number in this game alone. While the weather conditions are surely harsh, Sanders has faced good opponents in harsh weather before during his time in Colorado.
