Not much has gone well for the New Orleans Saints this season, who enter Week 17 with a 5-10 record and eliminated from the playoffs.
One bright piece from the team this season has been the progress of wide receiver Chris Olave. After suffering multiple concussions last season and contemplating retirement Olave has had a Pro Bowl-like season, recording 92 catches for 1,044 yards and eight receiving touchdowns. He’s been doing so not playing at 100% for a good part of the season.
Olave has dealt with a back injury since before the team’s Week 13 game against the Miami Dolphins. He’s been held to being limited in most practices, but hasn’t missed any of the last four games for New Orleans.
Heading into the team’s Week 17 game against the Tennessee Titans, Olave’s game status has been up in the air all week.
Is Chris Olave Playing Week 17?
Chris Olave was a limited participant in the New Orleans Saints‘ Friday practice. The team listed him questionable for Sunday’s game on their latest injury report.
Though he was listed as questionable, seeming like there’d be a good chance that he wouldn’t be able to go Sunday, the opposite is expected, as he is expected to play in Week 17. Saints’ team reporter Nick Underhill said that keeping Olave limited in practice today was for precautionary reasons.

While Chris Olave Is Expected To Play, Alvin Kamara Has Been Ruled Out
While Chris Olave is expected to play this Sunday, running back Alvin Kamara will be inactive. The Saints have ruled Kamara out with a knee/ankle injury designation. He’s missed the last four games.

Kamara has had one of his least productive NFL seasons this year. In 11 games played, he’s rushed for just 471 yards and one rushing touchdown and has averaged a low of 3.6 yards per carry.
In the receiving game, he hasn’t been that productive either, recording 33 catches for 186 yards and no receiving touchdowns.
