Reggie Miller’s Take on Draymond Green’s Beef With Fan Might Upset Angel Reese And Warriors Star

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green and Chicago Sky stalwart Angel Reese may not be too happy with the recent take of an NBA legend. On Tuesday, Nov. 18, former Indiana Pacers star Reggie Miller was a guest on the “Dan Patrick Show” and was asked about several topics and matters regarding professional basketball, where he mentioned both Green and Reese.

This is because Green and the rest of coach Steve Kerr’s Warriors faced coach Willie Green’s New Orleans Pelicans in away territory on Sunday, Nov. 16. At one point in the game, things got heated between a Pelicans fan and Draymond Green, which forced the game officials to separate them. Miller believes the fan was rightfully trolling Green by just comparing him to Reese.

“First of all, I’m going to give, as much as I love Draymond Green, I do love him, that was some elite trolling by that fan. No cursing, he did his homework, if you look at the stat line, all he was doing was referring to Draymond Green as Angel Reese. All he was saying was Angel Reese, the numbers, you’re not scoring but you are racking up the rebounds. That’s kind of funny,” Miller pointed out. (5:56)

Reese, as much as she has become one of the standout players on coach Tyler Marsh’s team, is also driven by narratives to be a rebound hoarder apart from being an efficient big for Chicago. Nevertheless, it seems that Green did not take this comparison from the fan too kindly, as he also has a reputation for getting at it with fellow players, team personnel, and spectators, as seen in New Orleans.

Reggie Miller Takes The New Orleans Pelicans Fan’s Side As He Doesn’t Get Draymond Green’s Sensitivity

During the same discussion, Reggie Miller affirmed that he was on the side of the New Orleans Pelicans fan, as he does not understand where Green’s sensitivity on the matter comes from, especially since he himself is known to engage in heated sequences. Still, Green and the Warriors ended up winning by 18 points, 124-106, in the game against New Orleans.

“So, I don’t understand the sensitivity side of Draymond, that’s something he would do because he’s an elite troll himself. I kind of give the fan, I’m taking the fans point of view because he didn’t cross a line in my opinion,” Miller said. (6:35)
