Atlanta Hawks vs Brooklyn Nets Preview and Prediction
The Atlanta Hawks have completely flipped their season in the second half. Since the All-Star break, they’ve gone an impressive 18-3, climbing all the way up to fifth in the Eastern Conference. Right now, they’re in a strong position to lock in a playoff spot without having to worry about the play-in tournament.
On the other side, the Brooklyn Nets have been out of the postseason picture for quite some time. Since the break, they’ve struggled badly, going just 3-19 and slipping to 14th in the East with an 18-58 record. They’re now only one game ahead of the Washington Wizards at the bottom of the standings.
The Hawks have already handled business against the Nets this season, winning all three matchups so far. Jalen Johnson has been a key factor in those games, averaging 23.3 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 6.0 assists.
Heading into Friday’s game, everything points toward another Atlanta win. They’re playing some of their best basketball of the year and are relatively healthy, while Brooklyn is missing several key rotation players.
Prediction: Expect the Hawks to win by 18 points.
