Golden State Warriors guard Moses Moody received plenty of support from the basketball community after he suffered a gruesome knee injury on Monday. Moody tore his left patellar tendon as he tried to go for an uncontested layup against the Dallas Mavericks. He was carted off the floor as the stunned crowd in Dallas gave him an appreciative applause.
On Tuesday, Arkansas men’s basketball coach John Calipari joined the well-wishers. The basketball Hall of Famer tweeted his support of Moody:
“Heard about Moses Moody injury last night. @mosesmoody, you are always welcome to come back and rehab with us and use the facility. Prayers for a speedy and full recovery.”
Moody played the 2020-21 season with the Razorbacks under coach Eric Musselman. Although the school now has a new coach, Calipari still opened Arkansas’ doors to the Warriors’ emerging star.
The Warriors announced on Tuesday that the 23-year-old shooting guard will undergo an operation this week and will miss the rest of the season. If he accepts John Calipari’s proposal, it will be months before he can begin his rehab.
