Warriors HC Steve Kerr Ties His Future With Steph Curry
The partnership of Steve Kerr and Steph Curry built a dynasty in the NBA, resulting in four NBA titles and multiple great seasons. Given the swirling rumors regarding his contract and future with the Warriors, the head coach made it clear that as long as Curry remains on the Warriors, he has no plans to coach somewhere else.
“I will never leave Steph Curry,” Kerr told Zena Keita of The Athletic Show. “I don’t want to. We deserve that, I feel. Things change in this league. We can only control so much. But I think we’re in a very unique situation that we deserve the opportunity [to ride it out].”
“He is one of the finest human beings I’ve ever been around in my life,” he told Keita. “And just to come to work every day and see Steph has made this job everything.”
The Warriors’ golden years seem to be behind them. The last time they made it to the semifinals of the NBA was in 2022, when they defeated the Celtics to win the NBA championship. While they have made the moves to make the team competitive, like acquiring Jimmy Butler from the Miami Heat, the results haven’t been on expected lines. It remains to be seen how long can Curry-Kerr continues in the Bay Area.
