Tony Stewart Racing reveals Leah Pruett’s 2026 schedule ahead of her NHRA comeback

Tony Stewart Racing shared an Instagram post revealing Leah Pruett and Matt Hogan’s 2026 NHRA schedule. The upcoming season marks Pruett’s return after a two-year hiatus.

After the 2023 season, Preutt stepped away from racing to start a family with Stewart.  Meanwhile, Stewart filled in for Pruett and drove her Top Fuel dragster for two years.

He was able to achieve two wins and secure the regular season championship in his sophomore season, before finishing fifth in the final standings. Gearing up for her comeback, Pruett took part in a test session with TSR Nitro back in June, 2025.

On Tuesday, January 6, the team posted Pruett’s 2026 schedule and attached the following caption:

“2026 is here. Leah is BACK. Time to lock in. 🔒💥”

Pruett’s comeback begins at the Gatornationals on March 5th. She has previously reached the semi-finals at the Gainesville, Florida, track.

In other news, former Tony Stewart Racing driver Donny Schatz has found a new home with Chad Clemens’ CJB Motorsports. The 48-year-old departed from Stewart’s team over his first winless season since his series debut in 1997. He recently attended the 2025 World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series Awards and shared a bold prediction for his 2026 season.

“It’s not going to take us six months to get going or get a win. I feel like we can get going right away because of Barry’s experience and my experience and, obviously, a fresh start. Those guys have been open to anything. They’ve asked me a lot what it is I want to do here and there,” he said.

Tony Stewart, on his part, addressed the situation and said,
“The achievements we’ve accomplished together are something that I’ll always be proud of, but in the past few years we’ve weathered changes in the sport and our performance hasn’t been to the level that both Donny and I expect.”
Donny Schatz and TSR had an 18-year run together, earning eight World of Outlaws championships and 234 victories.
