Cleetus McFarland has revealed his 2026 ARCA racing schedule and also shared that his goals in stock car racing trace back to a promise he made with his friend and later NASCAR Cup driver Greg Biffle. He vowed to make the NASCAR Cup Series opener, the Daytona 500, with “Be Like Biff” written on the back of his car.
The YouTube star became friends with Biffle after crossing paths at motorsport events. Biffle worked with McFarland as a mentor and supported McFarland’s transition from YouTube sensation to real stock-car racer by helping him land a NASCAR ride at Rette Jones Racing last year.
According to Racing America’s Joseph Srigley, McFarland confirmed his Daytona 500 goal during a recent episode of the SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
“The back of my car says ‘Be Like Biff’ today, and I’m carrying our mission of getting to the Daytona 500. That’s what we started with. So, I gotta finish it,” Cleetus McFarland said.
The NASCAR community faced the tragic loss of Biffle and his family in a plane crash last month, and McFarland shared a long tribute video on his YouTube channel.
Biffle, his wife Cristina, and his two children were on board a Cessna Citation 550 that crashed while attempting to land at Statesville Regional Airport in North Carolina. McFarland said Biffle had been flying to Florida to visit him when the accident occurred. He also honored him with the ‘Be Like Biff’ on the back of his ARCA car during the first day of practice for the Chilli’s Ride the ‘Dente 200 at Dayton International Speedway.
McFarland also worked with Biffle during his Hurricane Helene relief work in North Carolina in September of 2024.
Cleetus McFarland to Run Atleast Five ARCA Races in 2026
Cleetus McFarland will run a partial 2026 ARCA Menards Series schedule. He also confirmed plans to compete in about five 2026 ARCA events this season during an episode of the SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
McFarland debuted in the series last season with Rette Jones Racing in the Ride the ‘Dente 200 at Daytona, where a crash dropped him out early. He bounced back with a strong 10th-place finish at Talladega and followed up with a career-best ninth at Charlotte later in the season. McFarland also ran at Bristol in 2025.
This season, he will return to Rette Jones Racing’s No. 30 Ford at Daytona International Speedway on February 14 and at Talladega Superspeedway in April. The other dates are yet to be announced.
