“Beautiful tribute”: Fans react as Brad Keselowski’s RFK honors Greg Biffle with new museum display

Brad Keselowski’s RFK Racing has decided to honour Greg Biffle with a special installation of his No.16 Ford in the team’s museum. The ‘heartfelt new display’ is the same car that secured Ford’s 1,000th NASCAR win.

Biffle spent nearly three decades at Roush Racing. He joined the team in 1998 and stayed until 2016, winning two NASCAR championships and 19 Cup Series races. His best season was in 2005, when he won six races and finished runner-up in the championship standings.

Understandably, Biffle was Roush Racing’s longest tenured driver and was named one of NASCAR’s 75 Greatest Drivers. His tragic plane crash at Statesville Regional Airport came just days before his 56th birthday.

Commemorating his storied career, RFK Racing announced a special tribute with an X post, writing:

“We’ve added a heartfelt new display to the RFK Racing museum. In honor of Greg, we’re highlighting some of his remarkable achievements with our team — including the iconic No. 16 that secured Ford’s 1,000th victory in NASCAR — and a special tribute to the legendary Biff. All are welcome to stop by our museum and celebrate the legacy of Greg Biffle.”

Fans found the news wholesome and gratifying. Here are some fan reactions:

    “Beautiful tribute,” wrote a fan.
“Thanks for doing that and posting it. I will definitely put this on my list when in your area as the Biff was my guy from the beginning in trucks and throughout his career. Met him a couple times, a real class guy,” an X user penned.
“What a awesome way to honor him,” another commented.
“Very respectful to do! Good on you RFK Racing! 💪🏼🙏🏻,” a fan said.
“Please remember his philanthropy as much as his success on the track, if not more,” another noted.
Greg Biffle’s plane crash claimed the lives of his wife, Cristina, son Ryder, daughter Emma, in addition to NASCAR motorhome driver Craig Wadsworth and commercial pilots Dennis and Jack Dutton.
The plane suffered mechanical issues that resulted in a failed landing within 10 minutes of flight. The National Transportation and Safety Board has announced a 30-day timeline for a preliminary report on the matter, while a final report is expected to take upto 12-18 months.
Brad Keselowski is currently recovering from a leg fracture. He sustained it during a family ski trip and has undergone surgery to fast-track the healing process. The 41-year-old is expected to be fit for the 2026 season-opener at Daytona International Speedway.

Brad Keselowski recalls a fond memory with Greg Biffle

Right after his surgery, Brad Keselowski shared an X post paying tribute to Greg Biffle. The No.6 Ford driver went down memory lane and shared a personal story with Biffle.
“I broke my leg and was going into surgery when the tragic plane accident happened to Greg and his family,” Brad Keselowski said, “Not really sure the words to say so I’ll share a story I called Greg a few years ago telling him my friend really needed a fun trip after losing a family member, could we all go ride his UTV’s together to show my friend a good time? Without missing a beat he made all the plans & we had a great sand dunes trip, my friend was all smiles. This trip means so much more now… this is my favorite Greg story, Will miss you and your family #GodSpeed.”
Brad Keselowski and Greg Biffle are both Xfinity Series champions who rose to the top division. Biffle battled tooth and nail during Keselowski’s 2012 championship-winning season, as he stole a victory from the latter at Michigan that year.
