Miami-Texas A&M Sets Record for Lowest-Scoring CFP Game

The College Football Playoff encounter between Miami and Texas A&M Aggies ended up in the record books for being the lowest combined scoring total in CFP history. The game remained scoreless at halftime after multiple field goal misses and only saw it’s first touchdown in the dying minutes of the 4th quarter.

In the first-round matchup on Saturday, the Hurricanes edged the Aggies 10–3, with the two teams accounting for just 13 points, surpassing the previous low of 30 points from the 2017 Sugar Bowl semifinal between Alabama, which scored 24, and Clemson, which garnered only six points.

Miami’s 10-point output also made history, as it became the lowest total ever recorded by a winning team in a College Football Playoff game.
