The Xavier Musketeers just finished a great season, defeating the Texas Longhorns to advance to the NCAA tournament. Despite the success and the win over Texas, Xavier’s head coach, Sean Miller, left the Musketeers to become the next head coach with, funnily enough, Texas.
As you might imagine, Xavier fans were none too pleased with Millers decision and have made that clear with the ultimate troll against their former coach.
Xavier Fans Take Sean Miller’s Twitter Handle
When coaches take new jobs, they tend to switch their Twitter handle to something that reflects the schools they’re currently with. For example, Greg McDermott, the head coach of Creighton’s Twitter handle, is @cucoachmac.
Xavier fans saw this as an opportunity to use every single variation of Sean Miller’s potential Twitter handle, including Texas or UT.

While it might seem minor, it’s one of the few ways a fanbase can actually affect a coach in real time, and Xavier fans did not miss the opportunity to do so. Given Sean Miller’s success at Xavier, it makes sense why the Musketeer fanbase is so upset.
In his three seasons with Xavier, Miller held a coaching record of 65-40. He led the Musketeers to two tournament appearances and a Sweet Sixteen appearance back in 2023.
Prior to the arrival of Miller, Xavier had missed four consecutive NCAA tournaments, so it’s clear that he was in the midst of turning around the program.
Miller leaving Xavier fresh off a tournament appearance and a first-four victory certainly derails not only future success for Xavier but also the current roster, as two of the Musketeers’ best players have already hit the portal, likely following Miller to Texas.

So, it makes sense that Xavier fans are angry, and I honestly respect this level of trolling from any fanbase.
